In this edition of Meet the Grantmakers, a panel of local grantmakers discusses their organizations' giving priorities and guidelines as they pertain to addressing the health and human services needs of economically disadvantaged populations.

Discussion panel: "Please introduce your foundation and its philanthropic priorities as they pertain to serving the health and human services needs of vulnerable or low-income populations, and what is your grantmaking budget for this area of your giving?" Segment 2: "Briefly, what are the procedures for applying to your foundation for support? And what is your advice for how organizations that are new to you should present themselves (e.g., method of initial inquiry, what do you look for in a new grantee, tips for making the best first impression)?" Segment 3: "What tips do you have for the audience today about creative ways in which your grantees have addressed outcomes measurement, and does your foundation make grants to conduct evaluations assessments? And what is your risk tolerance for working with grassroots groups that may have less staffing to produce reports, evaluations, and proposals?" [17:48]
