GRANT GUIDELINES

PRIORITIES:

In general, one-half of our grants are made for Social & Human Services to help the needy, homeless and disadvantaged in the Cleveland area. More than one-quarter of our grants are for Education.

PROPOSAL DEADLINES:

Each year the Trustees hold two distribution meetings: in June and in November. The deadline for proposal submission is April 1st and September 1st, respectively.

RESTRICTIONS:

The Bicknell Fund does not provide grants:

  • to individuals,
  • to organizations located outside the Cleveland, OH area,
  • to fund endowments, or
  • for political advocacy.

The Fund does not distribute multi-year pledges.

In addition, the Fund supports only the local chapter of national institutions with broad public support.

Only qualified non-profit organizations which are classified by the Internal Revenue Code as tax exempt 501(c)3 organizations are eligible for funding consideration.
