The Trusts support the core mission of arts organizations through:

• The MacArthur Fund for Arts and Culture at Prince
• General operating support grants
• Project grants to strengthen organizational capacity
• The Prince Prize for Commissioning Original Work.
• Capital grants.

EDUCATION
The Trusts support ongoing efforts to improve Chicago's public schools with grants for:

• School improvement partnerships working to effect whole-school change
• Organizations and programs that increase parent and community engagement in school reform
• Organizations and programs working to effect system-wide change in the Chicago Public Schools.

ENVIRONMENT
The Trusts support programs that:

• Preserve and enhance open spaces in the city.

HEALTH
The Trusts provide:

• Support for projects designed to improve the morale of hospital and community-based medical clinic personnel
• Operating support to community-based clinics that offer primary care to the uninsured.

SERVICE TO THE FIELD
The Trusts make a limited number of grants to organizations that:

• Support the field of philanthropy.

SOCIAL SERVICES
The Trusts support agencies and projects that:

• Offer preventive services to families with children ages 0-3
• Improve the quality of child care for infants and toddlers
• Help homeless service providers align their programs with the Chicago Plan to End Homelessness.
