Application Guidelines

IMPORTANT: The Turrell Fund now requires grantseekers (prospective grantees and existing grantees alike) to register and submit their applications on line.

Submission Deadlines

The Board of Trustees considers requests in the Spring and in the Fall.

SPRING CYCLE
Applications for the Spring Cycle are due no later than FEBRUARY 1
  • Not to be received by the Fund prior to January 1
  • MUST be in our office no later than February 1
FALL CYCLE
Applications for the Spring Cycle are due no later than AUGUST 1
  • Not to be received by the Fund prior to July 1
  • MUST be in our office no later than August 1

Late proposals will not be accepted.

Required Attachments

The following documents are to be submitted as attachments to your online application:

  • If an organization is a 501(c)(3), send the organization’s IRS determination letter confirming 501(c)(3) status and Form 990 for the most recent year, filed with the IRS;
  • Organization’s operating budget for the coming year;
  • List of the names of the organization’s Board of Directors and their affiliations;
  • Organization’s most recent year financial audit; and
  • Expense and income budget for the particular project or program.

All attachments requested can be submitted online. In some instances, it may be necessary for your organization to provide the delivery of requested attachments through the regular mail.

In all circumstances, please be sure to leave ample time for your attachments to reach us by the published deadline. Due to the volume of proposals we receive, the Fund cannot be expected to make exceptions for late-arriving proposal attachments.

PLEASE NOTE: Should any one of the items listed above be omitted, the grant request will not be considered. Do not provide any additional materials after the deadline, unless so requested.
